A significant digital MRO milestone
easyJet Engineering Malta reached Technical Go-Live of its SKYDOCS/eJOBCARD programme on 1 September 2026, marking the successful completion of an important implementation phase in the continuing digitalisation of its engineering operation. DataTech Consulting congratulates the easyJet Engineering Malta Technology, PMO, Engineering and wider project teams whose operational knowledge, testing and continuous feedback helped take the programme into operational use.
What DataTech built
For DataTech, the milestone is also a practical demonstration of how specialist software engineering, aviation-domain knowledge and enterprise integration can be combined around a real maintenance process. DataTech designed, developed and implemented the integrated environment that connects aircraft technical documentation, maintenance planning and the execution of aircraft work packages.
From technical content to actionable work
Within the SKYDOCS-based environment, structured maintenance content is interpreted rather than simply stored. Technical information can include revisions, chapters, tasks, warnings, cautions, notes, tools, materials and illustrations. Aircraft/MSN effectivity is applied so that only the content relevant to the selected aircraft proceeds into the job-card structure. The result is controlled, job-card-ready information that can move from technical publication into execution.
The operational eJOBCARD workflow
The eJOBCARD layer takes the work into the maintenance operation. Job cards can be prepared and published, organised and assigned through Kanban-style views, accessed by authorised personnel through clock-on/clock-off workflows, and completed through a controlled workspace that supports procedures, structured fields, attachments, comments and authorised digital signing. Reporting provides visibility across ownership, clocking, audit and revision activity, while completed job cards can be archived by Bill of Work.

Connecting planning and execution
The project business material describes the wider environment as integrating SKYDOCS job-card structures with SAP S/4HANA CS/PM and the Bill of Work, maintaining continuity between maintenance planning and frontline execution. It also describes AIRNAV manual import and structuring as part of the technical-document process. These named third-party integration references should be published only with confirmed disclosure approval.
What the project demonstrates
The project is more than a single software deployment. It demonstrates DataTech’s ability to develop specialist applications around operational requirements, interpret and transform complex technical content, integrate enterprise systems, build controlled workflows and deliver technology for a highly regulated, operationally demanding environment.
Looking ahead
Technical Go-Live is a milestone rather than the end of the digital journey. For DataTech, the implementation provides a strong foundation for continued development and a credible reference for organisations seeking to connect technical information, enterprise platforms and frontline operations. Aviation and MRO organisations evaluating digital job cards, systems integration or specialist operational software are invited to contact DataTech Consulting to discuss their requirements.
